Community 05 · Project management
Fair4Project, project management freelancers validated by their peers.
Project managers, PMOs, scrum masters and delivery managers who scope, steer and carry projects through to completion. Chosen by their peers, supported by one of them, with a 10% margin written on the quote.
The community’s profiles.
Fair4Project brings together five roles in three families, steering, agility and delivery, each entered on projects carried through to completion rather than on a title; defining the product belongs to Fair4Product, and the two communities refer needs to each other.
Steering
Project manager
Scoping, planning, budget, risk monitoring, coordination of stakeholders.
PMO
Portfolio monitoring, reporting, methods and tools shared across projects.
Agility
Scrum master
Running the ceremonies, removing obstacles, continuous improvement of the team.
Agile coach
Supporting teams and management towards new ways of working.
Delivery
Delivery manager
Responsibility for end-to-end delivery, commitments on time and quality.
Defining and evolving the product belongs to Fair4Product, scoping and leading the change of a new initiative to Fair4Innovation; Fair4Project drives delivery.
The tools our experts work with.
A project management expert joining an organization has to be productive on the methods and tooling already in place, not impose their own. The frameworks and tools most often used on the community’s missions:
- Jira
- Confluence
- Azure DevOps
- MS Project
- Smartsheet
- Miro
- Scrum
- Power BI
Five situations where Fair4Project is called in.
01
A project that is slipping.
Deadlines drifting, vague scope, budget running away. A project manager takes control again and puts back a framework and a schedule that can be kept.
02
A portfolio of projects with no overall view.
Each project has its own tracking format and nobody compares. A PMO sets up common reporting and simple rules.
03
An agile transformation to launch.
Teams moving to Scrum, management to bring along. An agile coach supports, a scrum master anchors the practices.
04
Several teams to synchronize.
Cross dependencies, shared milestones, deliveries that collide. A delivery manager coordinates.
05
A programme to start fast.
An urgent need and a project with no lead. A project manager brought in as reinforcement scopes the start, then hands over to the internal team.
Joining Fair4Project.
You enter Fair4Project through a 30-minute meeting with its community lead, not through open registration: the lead opens access after meeting you, and across all communities one profile in three presented is retained.
- 1A 30-minute video call with the community lead. The discussion covers projects actually run: team sizes, constraints, what went off track and why.
- 2The community lead validates your entry. If your background fits, they tell you during the call and ask whether you prefer a profile pre-filled from your LinkedIn page, or a CV you send. They then validate your entry: criteria reviewed with the ecosystem’s experts, references checked with previous clients.
- 3You receive an invitation to the talent space. An invitation link lets you create your password and enter. If the link has not been opened, a reminder goes out three days later.
The same price as everywhere at Fair4B.
The expert’s rate, 10% for Fair4B, 10% redistributed to the members who brought, selected and followed the mission: the three lines are written on the quote, before the first profile.
On a project management mission, this means two concrete things. The client knows the share that goes to the expert and the share that goes to Fair4B, so they can compare two offers on a real basis. And the community lead who received the selected expert receives a share of the redistribution: the quality of selection is rewarded, not just claimed.
Questions about Fair4Project.
How much does a freelance project manager cost in France?
A freelance project manager’s daily rate is built on three variables: the size and complexity of the projects already run, experience of the sector or method requested, and the level of responsibility on the mission. Fair4B states its margin, 10%, from the brief: the client therefore knows exactly what share goes to the expert.
What is the difference between a project manager and a PMO?
A project manager is responsible for a project: its scope, schedule, budget and risks. A PMO works at portfolio level: it provides the methods, tools and reporting shared across several projects. The first runs a project, the second gives visibility over the whole.
How does Fair4B select its project management experts?
In three steps. A 30-minute meeting with the Fair4Project community lead, on projects actually run. The lead then validates the entry, drawing on the ecosystem’s experts and having references checked with previous clients. Then the invitation to the talent space. This selection is one of the five roles paid through redistribution.
Fair4Project, Fair4Product or Fair4Innovation?
Fair4Project to run a project or a programme and lead a team through to delivery. Fair4Product for what concerns the product itself, Fair4Innovation to scope a new initiative and get it adopted. When a need touches several of these subjects, the community leads talk to each other; you do not have to choose alone.
How quickly does Fair4B propose a shortlist of project management experts?
Fair4B replies within 24h and presents its first profiles within 48h of receiving the brief. These timeframes come from the circuit: the request goes straight to the Fair4Project community, whose members know their peers’ availability.
What is the difference between Fair4Project and an IT services firm specialized in project management?
An IT services firm charges a margin it does not disclose. Fair4B states 10% from the brief and redistributes an equivalent share to the members who made the mission possible. Selection is led by the Fair4Project community lead, not by a sales team.
